Rebate ceremony for 2008 held in Nov 2009.

A thank you to Greenwood Farms for bringing along mushrooms as a door prize and to Conros Corporation for supplying rolls of tape for all.

As a group we experienced a drop in frequency of 26.83% and a drop in severity of lost time accidents over 7 days of 23.87%.

It was acknowledged that since 2002 we have managed to maintain not only a consistent drop in frequency and severity, but also a high rebate return.

This year our rebate was in the amount of $714,170.06.

For improving the safety for their employees the following companies have been rewarded.

Dover Cup received a total of $13,102.00 for the years 2006 and 2007

The PAC Safety group has helped me have a better understanding of the importance of health and safety in the workplace. It has also increased my knowledge and experience to help me keep my workplace safe and accident free every day.

The PAC Safety Group helped me to be aware of safety requirements in our plant and various ways and means to reduce accidents in our plant. It also guided me for various training procedures towards making our workplace safe.

A Safety Group is a new approach the Workplace Safety And Insurance Board (WSIB) is taking to eliminate workplace injuries and illnesses. The program rewards firms that incorporate prevention measures into their daily business. It began as a three year trial in 2000 and due to it's success became an ongoing prevention initative in July of 2002.
